Kavan Peterson, Founder, Sleep and Integrative Health Coach
Sleep isnโt just about rest โ itโs a reflection of how we live, relate, and orient our lives. My work is dedicated to helping people restore deep, natural sleep so they can experience better health, more connected relationships, and a clearer sense of purpose.
Iโm a nationally board-certified health and sleep coach and the creator of the Sleep Integration Method and the Wake Up to Sleep app. After years of struggling with sleep myself, I set out to understand why so many capable, self-aware people still feel exhausted, disconnected, and unable to rest โ even after trying everything.
What I discovered is that sleep improves when we stop treating it as a problem to fix and start working with the nervous system, attention, and daily rhythms that shape our lives. The Sleep Integration Method brings together science-based coaching, mindfulness, embodiment, and relational awareness to help clients rebuild sleep as a foundation โ not a hack.

My Approach: Sleep as Integration
Rather than focusing on symptoms or rigid routines, I guide clients to develop a supportive relationship with sleep by addressing the underlying patterns that disrupt rest. This work supports:

Relationships & emotional presence by restoring capacity for connection and repair
Purpose & clarity by helping people feel grounded, awake, and aligned in their lives
The Wake Up to Sleep app serves as a daily integration companion, offering short practices, reflections, and guided pathways that make consistency possible without overwhelm.
A Lifetime of Embodiment & Practice
My work is deeply informed by decades of embodied practice. I am a lifelong student of Budล, the Japanese discipline of martial and spiritual training, and hold a black belt in Aikido. I also train in Zen and Misogi breath purification meditation, Iaido swordwork, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and boxing.
These practices have shaped my belief that real transformation happens through presence, movement, breath, and relationship โ the same elements that allow sleep to return naturally and sustainably.
